OUR STORY
A home in the eternal city
Varanasi is not just a city — it is a feeling. It is the sound of temple bells carried on morning mist, the shimmer of ghats at dusk, and the quiet spirituality that has drawn seekers, pilgrims, and wanderers for thousands of years. Here, in the heart of this ancient city, Rangoli Garden Homestay was born from a simple wish: to share that feeling with you.
Our home has been in the family for two decade. What began as a traditional household slowly became a place where travellers from across the world would find rest, warmth, and genuine connection. When guests told us that staying here felt less like a hotel and more like coming home, we knew we had something worth offering the world.
THE GARDEN
Where rangoli meets roots
Our name tells a story. A rangoli is not just a pattern — it is an act of welcome as an invitation to all who arrive. And our garden is exactly that: a quiet, blooming refuge where jasmine climbs walls, a verity of tree offers shade in the afternoon heat, and mornings begin with birdsong and the scent of fresh marigolds
Whether you sit with chai on the green garden or read quietly beneath the bougainvillea, the garden has a way of slowing you down — the rarest gift in a city as alive as Varanasi.
“We don’t just offer a room. We offer a seat at our table, a story from our city, and a goodbye that feels like see you soon.”

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE HOME
Meet your hosts
We are a three-generation family who have called Varanasi home for as long as any of us can remember. My child greet every new guest with shy curiosity and a wide smile. And in between, the rest of us keep the chai brewing, the rooms fresh, and the conversation warm.
We speak Hindi, English, and a little bit of the universal language smile. We won’t just check you in — we’ll ask about your journey, remember your name, and make sure you leave carrying a piece of this city in your heart.
Varanasi has been welcoming souls for over 3,000 years. We consider it our honour to continue that tradition — one guest, one story, one cup of chai at a time. We cannot wait to welcome you home.
